Does anyone know what the correct procedure to remotely reboot a Mitel Mail voicemail? I know on an AVT if there is no T1 connection beween PBX and Voicemail, you must power up the MISUs first. Just wondering is there anything I need to know before I attempt this. Thanks.

Make sure you do a system shutdown on the console, other than that, just power it down. If you're accessing remotely, there's a reboot option in the System Maintenance menu, under <O>ther options, <U>tility menu (still do the shutdown procedure first). Just about anyone I've ever talked to says that powering down is the preferred way to do it.

I think for a new user the easiest way is to just do the reboot without the shutdown. As most of you know theres a procedure to the shutdown and sometimes, mwl hangs, or ports hang and unless you know how to clear the port in qnx, a new user is left with no choice but rebooting. Also some people sometimes end up disabling the modules or they get disconnected while doing a shutdown or verify and there left with having someone hard boot the system onsite. There's nothing in writing that says you can't just reboot the system although not the most graceful method.
