Does anyone know a way to get realtime stock prices into an access 2000 form? For example, if I have a form that shows company research, how can I add a field that shows me a real stock price (that is dynamic, not static)?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,

I start behind the proverbial 8 ball. AFAIK, Ms. A -despite her capabilities- doesn't interface in any auto/dynamic manner with the external world, so you pretty much need to 'roll your own' here. The 'closest' working model which I have heard about recently was here (Tek-Tips), regarding an employee time clock processing. As I recall, the process was that the tme clock 'deposited' values in a text file. Ms. A would periodically (read "timer" routine) read the text file, collect the value(s) so deposited, clear the text file and post the readings into a table. Other processing was accomplished by seperate routines.

It seems both easy and suspect, but then I have not had the opportunity to evaluate the process, so can only describe the concept. You might get more info by searching.

I found thread181-39625 using "Employee" and "Clock" as keywords in the advanced search. You might post to that thread and ask the poster how the object (Timeclock) managed to write the values to his table (I suspect it did NOT do so).
