Hi all

I have a strange problem. I have a user who has created 3 filters and a private display. The 3 filters are in his private display. When he launches his private display only the Grand Totals show up. It will not show the contents of his fiters.

If i use my computer and log into webclient with his profile and run his private display, i can see his 3 filters and i can expand each of them. Realtime display well show the totals of each filter and then a grand total at the bottom. What gives??

his Internet Explorer is setup the same as mine and i've reinstalled SOAP on his computer.

Does webclient use some other file on the local computer that my be corrupt?

oh ya i'm using webclient 4.5 SU05

Hi

have a look at the internet setting for the pc as shown in the install guide of the NTP's

The internet settings can stop the real time displays being shown

I hope this helps let me know if you need further help

Kind Regards

for those interested, here is the solution...

there are 3 files you need to delete on the client pc they are:
icertdcontrol.dll
rope.dll
ntzlib.dll

-log into computer with administrator
-log into webclient
-go to realtime display
-open up the display

the .dll files will be recreated and the display will work.

Fliters may not work properly if there's a comma in the name.
They resovled this with patch 07 for SWC 4.5
Ask your vendor for it, but remember it comes with all kind of new ActiveX components, so your users need admin rights on their PC to install them or find a way to deploy them to all PC's.

Hi,

I've tried to copy the 3 .dll's to Windows\System32 - but it still doesn't seem to work.

Should the regedit also be updated somehow?

Regards,
Rymark

Nortel provides an msi file that has all the the dll files that are needed for webclient to work on a client PC.
The msi file is called "ClientCtrls.msi". This msi file is specific to the webclient version that you have. So make sure you get the right one.

Rymark - delete the 3 dll's on the client PC, log into the PC with administrator previlages and try opening up a real time display.

One PC not working tells me it's the PC for sure. If you're still on SU05--I think it's time for an upgrade to SU07-->a lot of fixes since the 05 patch.

Does the normal standard RTD displays work? Or just the filters failing?
