Realtek RTL8139 NIC Issue

I have an issue with my RTL8139 NIC (onboard, not PCI). So, I did a clean install (WinXP SP3) and when I try to intall the driver it doesn't work. Oddly enough, it does appear in Device Manager with an exclamation sign on its icon so I guess the OS sees it somehow. I tried setting it to 10Mbps Full Duplex (read something about that in another thread) but to no effect. Any ideas?

Oh, almost forgot. My chipset is an MSI MS-7309 (K9N6PGM2-V2 AMD-based).
