REALLY STUPID QUEST: SC1000

Has anyone ever tried to replace the ringer in a SC1000? For some reason we have 1 console in our office that has the most annoying ringer. It's not a bad concole, because their was a number of months that they consoles came out with a different ringer. It absolutely sucks and I'm sure is the reason that Mitel went back to the regular ringer. I wish there was a way to change the pitch on a console. Is it actual components on the board within the console or is it just the speaker that generates the ringer?

I know what you mean by annoying Ringers, Most of the consoles I have came accross have the ringers "built in" so it kind of a all or nothing, but having nothing would tend to defeat the reason for having the console, if you opened up the case and tried to do a little "engineering" do so at "your own risk"

My only immediate "suggestion" is if the system is under "warrenty" or other Maintenance to have it change out
or if you Don't, depending on your particulars, perhaps put a small ringer you can tolerate, on a ons port, put it next to the console,
