I'm not even sure where to begin looking for this so i thought I'd try to see if anyone else has ever seen this. we have one user, and only one user that I'm aware of. intermittently when she prints to a specific printer the print job will print correctly and then a few days later it will show up as a PDF file in one of our network share folders. This makes no sense as she is printing to an HP LJ4200 not a PDF printer (however we do have a PDF printer installed). has anyone ever seen anything like this?

Thanks,

does she have the ability to print to PDF from her computer? under her printers control panel does she physically have a 'print to PDF' printer 'device' installed?

if so then shes probably doing this by mistake occasionally.

either way, I would check her drivers. some HP drivers have multiple pages of settings (go figure, 400MB printer drivers.....)

id try completely uninstalling the HP printer drivers from the control panel add/remove software (assuming she doesnt use any of that 400Megs of garbage like 'HP ImageZone', etc) and setting her up with the most basic print driver possible (HP LJ4200 will work with the default windows driver for HP Laserjet or Laserjet 4)
