This should be super simple, but it isn't working the way I think it should. I'm pulling a sql server 2000 date/time field into my report and it only displays the date. I need it to display the time too. I've checked the database and there is time and date being stored.

How can I get crystal to display the date and time?

thanks

ie: some sample data
2/3/2004 12:11:22 AM
2/1/2004 11:44:35 AM

Its probably how you are formatting it by default.

Right click the field.
Choose Format Field from the pop up menu.
Click the Date/Time tab.
Choose a format from the list that displays the time.
Click Ok and Preview the Report.

Right click on the field, select Format field, then pick appropriate format that includes time part.

There are two places that you can check in Crystal 8.5

File > Options > Fields > Date/Time >Date/Time tab and make sure you have the appropriate type selected.

Also

File> Report Options > Convert Date time field> select the appropriate time.

thanks for the quick reply...I've done that before and I don't have anything in that displays time. When I select customize I still can't select anything dealing with time. I've also verified that my database field is a date/time and not short date type.

Kchaudhry,
File> Report Options > Convert Date time field> select the appropriate time.

that solved it! thanks!
