Really Easy Pre-School Question about Typos. 2

I'm teaching myself. When inputting a statement, and you notice a typo, how to you correct it? I'm using 5.5. Using cursors don't help to get to that line and make the correction stick.
 
I agree. While the command line is useful for some things. If you are starting out, and worried about mistakes a Graphic User Interface is recommended.

I personally have used WebYog's Community Edition SqlYog.
Its free and can be found in Google's repositories here:

Of course MYSQL's own Workbench is very good, and also free from their website.
