I am in the process of installing a digital recording/logging system. The Recording application is looking to pull the SMDR info realtime.

The only way I have pulled SMDR before over TCPIP is using FTP access to pull it (like with Revolution RSI).

The recording program is asking for an IP address for the switch (no problem) and the SMDR port - which is the showstopper.

Can anyone help me with this?

when you say SMDR port what is it asking for the UDP/TCP port number or the physical port com1 etc.

To get SMDR in real time you have to determine the version of your BCM. They have used different strategies (i.e. Socket, DCOM, CDRPull).

It can be accomplished in all three methods depending on the version. DCOM is apparently gone as of version 3.7. BCM50 does not support it at all. CDRPull was not available until 3.0.

What version are you using?
