Hi, It's a CCM 6 Co-Res server. Customer started allowing supervisors and agents to work from home after getting them setup with VOIP. The Supervisors VPN into their network. We had the CCMA setup for Multicast only which works fine from inside the office. The supervisors were unable to view RTDs from home so last night I turned on Unicast along with Multicast and restarted the service. The supervisors still can't see the RTDs. I'm trying to gain VPN access from the customer so I can troubleshoot myself but I wondered if anyone is doing this with VPN and might know some tricks I need to try.

I'm surprised unicast does not work, multicast almost certainly won't. There are some unicast settings on the server - number of sessions spring to mind but I have little knowledge on this. Could be some settings in the router to allow unicast.

I know its a big pain to get working. We gave up just because our corporate office would of had to get involved and time didn't permit. What we ended up doing (isn't ideal or efficient) We set up a server at the office that has ULTRAVNC installed and set up the vnc server to only share the GRTD window, as well as only allowed clients to view not control. Then installed ultravnc on the client end and made a link that saved the connection info.. all the vpn user has to do is click the vnc link and GRTD painless.

Thanks for the responses. The IT director at this company says he can create a Multicast group and allow it over the VPN. He is supposed to set this up 1st of next week. I'll update this thread with the results.

I am full time VPN and I access everything in CCM via VPN plus use IP Softphone all day. Hasn't been a problem at all. Unicast works. Don't know of any special settings that were needed besides the normal IE settings modified. I am working from a company issues laptop, not my personal PC.

Update: Apparently just restarting the RTD service after adding Unicast wasn't enough. After the VPN administrator said that there was nothing else he could do, we rebooted CCMS/CCMA and now it works Unicast.
