From time to time I have a supervisor inform me that the agent name fields in the real time display read *unknown*. Does anybody have an idea as to why this happens? Most of the time a reboot of the pc fixes the issue.
But we didn't have the supervisor reboot their pc - all they needed to do is close the real time display, wait a few seconds and relaunch the display. On a rare occassion we had to close the display and relaunch it more than once, but this is all it usually takes.
On your Web Application Server, you can try increasing the OAM timeout in the RTR Registry Setting from 10000ms in increments of 10000 until Agent Names are displayed. I set mine to 20000 and it seems to work better.
