IE
Equiptment:

SCCS 4.2
Symposium WebClient
AgentView WallBoards
GRTD

Problem:

Maybe 1 or 2 times a week the real time reports (GRTD/WebClient RTD and WallBoard) seems to display the wrong information.. as if it is not refreshing as quickly as it should.

It eventually comes back arround and starts updating regularly again probably around 2/3 hours later.

All the services on symposium are up and are support company have no idea as to what could be causing the problem as there are no errors/events etc that would suggest the problem.

At this stage the problem is really getting tedious. Has anyone experienced this or heard of this problem before.

Again our support company say that there are no reasons why this would happen.

We have run tests on symposium/searched logs/tested the network/installed latest peps.

Help please

Suggest setting up a laptop, preferably on the ELAN running a duplicate display to one which reliably exhibits these conditions.

When the problem manifests, check the laptop to see if the display on it too had degraded. If the problem has occurred on a ELAN based display, the problem is likely with the server hw, o/s or the Nortel applications.

It might be useful to also have the IE client on the web server itself set up to show one of the displays which seems to be affected.

If the problem does not happen on the laptop, then it's time to involve whoever supports your network.

Are you absolutely certain that there is a problem as you wrote "seems to display the wrong information" which does not sound conclusive. Also, are the displays configured correctly for what you expect to see? Just a thought.
