hi does anyone know the value range of a 'real' data type?

thanks!)

ps - has anyone experienced problems in the shape of funny error codes when using this?

Use BOL!!:

Code:
Floating point number data from –3.40E + 38 through 3.40E + 38. Storage size is 4 bytes.

Remember that this data type only stores an approximation of the number. I would try and use int or decimal data types if at all possible.
