Is there any way to read a text file into Crystal and assign values from the file to variables that are used within the report?

I need to read an INI file and make specific assumptions about the setup based on specific key words.

Thanks

Paul

Since Crystal can't even evaluate the text within memo fields in a table, I would be surprised if it could evaluate text in an INI file.

If the INI file could be read as a table with fixed length fields, via ODBC text driver, and then used as a subreport in the header of the main report, then you could capture a value and pass it. Otherwise, I am afraid not. Ken Hamady
