Reading the values from the report

Hai

I am having a report as a hard copy (i.e) printed in the paper. I need to read that values and store in the database. How can I do that? i can scan my report, but don't know to which format I can scan the file. Can anyone help in this matter.

I hate to state the obvious, but did you try to contact whoever generates the report and ask them for an electronic version of the data?
