Reading Text file in a folder like a table in Database

I have several text files(each file contains data about an employee) in a folder

How can i programatically
1. Read thru all the text files in the folder
2. extract the data in each text file?

I can read the text file data delineated by a pipe, but the problem is how to read each text file in a folder, open each file and read the content.

I want to transfer teh content of teh text file to an access database

I will appreciate any kind gesture and help
