Reading table and deleting duplicate records

Could someone assist me or send me sample code on reading a table and deleting duplicate records. This is an employee based file. If the employee is in the record more than once, I want to keep the first record and delete the rest.
I am a very,very "newbie" at MS/Access creating modules, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
