Reading rs232 Serial data in FoxPro 2.6 for windows

I have weighing scales connected to PC via rs232 serial port (com1). Is there a way I can read the incoming data into FoxPro 2.6. Have tried using FOPEN("com1&quot but get no result. Help file says Foxpro for windows doesn't support opening ports. Any ideas how I can get this to work?

You will need a third party product like CommTools or something that can handle that:
