Reading ROM?

Hi I"m currently working on a Senior Design project and in need of desperate help for information on how to read a ROM file (all binary) into vhdl. We're trying to simulate the hardware for the atari tempest game.


Also are there any way for a programmer to easily use VHDL for analog? I've read some stuff about it on the internet but it's very confusing. Is there an easy or more organized way to do it?
