When reading reports and the amount of traffic users access. Is there a way to display the username instead of the ip address as the user? The last thing i want to do is install the firewall client, but if thats what it takes then i'll have to do it. Is there a regestry trick or some option to enable to see user names in reports and not ip addresses?

Thanks, PAUL

Paul,

If I understand you correct, the only other way I know of is to turn on the "Ask Unauthenticated users for identification" under the outgoing web configs.

I am currently doing this and I can see the users in the reports.

Ok thnx..i changed that setting on the server...question...do the client machines have to have the proxy settings on the IE settings or can you bybass that?

Thanks, PAUL

I haven't tried that. I would believe you could if you have a protocol setup and set the application filter to sedn all request directly to the requested web server.
