I need an acurate way of reading off an intersection point from a chart (intersection between 2 curves). Is there way of reading off the X and Y co-ordinates of the intersection as you hover the curser over the intersection point. (it is impossible to solve the 2 equations analytically)Has anyone set up a macro to do this- if at all, it's feasible?
(I posted this in Ms Office section. Just realised that it's more appropraite here)

Hi,

Check out for the Chart Tool containing smooth_curve_bezier_example_file.xls.

If you have a Chart Sheet, there are EVENTS that can be trapped. You can click on a ChartElement, and get certain information. But if there is actually no point at the intersection of the series, I do not believe that y9ou can get a interpolated x, y values.

The above reference generates a formula for a curve. That may be of some help to you.
