Reading Harddrive Serial Number

Hi,

I want to display a harddrive serial number on a asp.net page using VB.NET.

Does anybody have any code that can do this ?

I've never done it myself bit it seems you can as a quick google came up with:

You should be aware that if you're trying to use this as a licensing scheme, a user can set their volume serial number to whatever they want.

Also, if they have two volumes (C: and D, each will have different volume serial numbers.

And... getting access to this from a web page will require that your code be granted full control on the client PC, something that isn't likely to happen.
