When a user right clicks on some of my forms and filters either by selection or with specific criteria, I use the apply filter event to run some code that puts the current contents of "me.filter" in a text box. The user then can see the cumulative filters that he/she has chosen.

My problem is that when the user right clicks and selects "Remove filter", whilst the form obviously has its filter removed, the filter property of the form is not returned to null (or nothing).

Can anybody help??

If you set me.filter = "", then that will be the value of filter until you apply another one. Unfortunately, if you look at the form in design mode later the silly filter will be there.

My preference is me.filteron = false. Robert Berman
