I have a Samsung MP0402h 2.5" IDE hard drive in an enclosure connected via USB to a Dell Inspiron 3521 laptop running Windows 8. Windows recognizes that the drive is connected and assigns it a drive letter, and the drive powers up, but Windows won't read the drive. I get a message saying "Invalid Parameter". I would appreciate any suggestions on how to remedy this if possible. Thanks.

Sounds like the Drive has some corruption and can't be read.

Have you tried running the Drive manufacturer's diagnostic tools on it?

Have you tried connecting it directly to the PC outside of the enclosure?
