Hi people ! I'm looking for a program (free better, open source better) that sit between a Web Server and a Browser and can read all the data, both ways, to let say write the data to an ascii file (for example) or to a database.
Is there any interesting program you know about ?
Thanks a lot !!

Tea Leaf Technologies has got a great product but it is expensive. They had a client-side capture tool that was free but I think they've bundled it into hte whole package. Their package is geared toward server operations.

For a very effective (and FREE) ethernet sniffer, try Ethereal from It captures and decodes packets very nicely.

Hope that helps.

Sniffer might help you but it is not free.
Snort is free but I do not use it before merely hear of it.
