Reading and excel spreadsheet

Hello,

I am very new to vb .net and i am trying to write and application that can do the following:

Part 1
Browse for an .xls file

Read xls and parse data needed

Import to sql database

Part 2
Have an a couple of input fields and query SQL based on the ones filled out

Based on query results output all information

Allow modification to result displayed and update sql

If anyone can show me tutorials or help me on the following things that i am trying to accomplish i would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Interacting with Excel has been covered many times on this forum as has interacting with SQL server.


Please post any specific code that you are using that is causing you a problem and we will see if we can help.
