Using CR 2008 standalone, no programming.
Has anyone successfully created a report in the Crystal Reports designer that can preview data from an XML file while applying the correct data types from an XSD file?
Crystal can read the XML file and see data but all the data types come through as strings. Crystal can also read the XSD file and get the correct data types but the XSD has only the structure and no actual data. I can't seem to get them to work together.
I am starting to wonder if this can ONLY be done within an application environment. I have tried all three connection methods in the database expert (ADO.NET/Datafile/XML and web services) and tried my own XML/XSD files, examples from the web and even the XML sample data that SAP provides for CR. All behave the same way.
So, if someone has done this I would love to compare notes to see what I am doing wrong.
