Hi, I'm the network admin for a site that has an sps server. the guys that manage and admin this servers content have come across a problem and have asked me to help. As they are concerned that it may be something to do with an active directory permission on the users account, i can't see it myself as i think SPS just uses AD to verify the password then the permission set up in the SPS user database take over .. do i have that right?

I am a long way from knowing anythig about SPS so please forgive me if i get the terminology wrong.

We have a user who is only a memeber of the "readers" group but she can post news items. I believe its supposed to send the news item to an "approver" before it appears on the site, but this is not happening.

Any ideas whats going on?

BTW I'm going to force the SPS admin to read this thread and possibly add to the fault description

Thanks for reading and any reply at all would be appreciated
