Reader access only... do I need a license for that?

Hi there;

I have only 10 licenses for my CRM deployment.
Suppose I Create a role with only reader-access rights and give this only role to a person in my organization. This person won't be able to create, edit or delete anything in the CRM... just read.
Is it considered an extra license?

Thanx

I am no expert & I would ask, BUT - I know that when I wanted to have access to SQL 2005 db, I needed a licences for everyone that would look at the data. My bet would be that CRM is similar - if you are accessing the data / program - you need a license
