My mobo died in my xt983 running xp home, I have moved the HD,[sv400] to my other pc running 98se,and set it as slave. The sys didn't detect and install it as a new device but it recognizes it in device manager. How can I install or access data on it? It has no drive letter assigned.
Thank for any help.
Rick

Win 98 doesn't recognize NTFS volumes, you will have to use a third party program. At the following site there is a FREEWARE program called 'NTFS Reader for DOS' that should allow you to read and copy from NTFS to FAT32.
