I have a text file with 5 columns and 29 rows. I want to read this file and put it into an excel spreadsheet. How oh how do I do this??

File>Open>Browse for text file > go through import wizard>done

record it if you need to automate

Otherwise you can use ADO but that involves using SQL

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Please read FAQ222-2244 before you ask a question

Another option is Data > Import External Data > Import File. If you are doing this on a regular basis, this query table can merely be refreshed to import a fresh set of data.
