Hi Everyone, Newbie here, please be gentle :)

I'm trying to use a javascript to read some registry keys from the client and write them to a text file.
It's for my helpdesk to help them get virus signature versions etc from users when they call.
I have a vbscript that works but can't seem to make it run from a browser.
Any Ideas?
Is this even something that Javascript could do?
Thanks

u cannot run them from the browser as its a security issue...

Even if they were to "approve" the security warning message?
Would I be better off having the user download the script and then run it locally?
Any Ideas are greatly appreciated!

if they approve then its no issu at all, search on the web for new AcitveXObject(), u can use the same objects that u use in VBScript...
