A small network with PC1 using Outlook Express to pick up and send the office mail. PC2 only accesses IE via a Hub. Laptop has an external modem and uses it's own OE for 2 different email accounts. However it ALSO can be connected to the network and the user needs to be able to view (READ ONLY) OE (all folders) on PC1 without overwriting the folders on Laptop. I had this working perfectly for 8 months - a separate desktop shortcut to the shared program on PC1 and using a switch to cause it to be read only and bypass the msoe.dll error messages, but someone removed the shortcut and now I can't find where I found the answer before. As a temporary measure it is set to 'leave mail on network' which of course is hopeless and means you can't read the replies.

If anyone knows the switch ...... :-D
