Read Only Access to Flash Card

Can anyone tell me how to implement a read only access on a flash memory card on the router. We have an IOS image on this and our trainees keep thrashing the image resulting in loss of precious time and inconvenience sorting it out.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Usually the flash card has a small switch on it. One way is write, the other is read only.

The one I have got hasn't got any switch.
