Read MP3 tags? 3

Does anyone have any experience in reading the tags on mp3 files? I need to be able to capture the mp3 tags into an access table.

1) figure out how the ID3 info is stored and write your own code to parse it,

- I just google searched 'id3 com component' and eventually got this page. I don't vouch for anything posted there, but try them anyway.

Try Winamp.com, they have the com objects and sample code for manipulating the objects

Might be of some use - if I am ever a wake enough at home I want to try something with it, I have a database of lyrics. It would be rather handy in access to click play, the lyrics to be displayed and then appropriate file to be played in winamp.

Perhaps this weekend I can spend my time doing what I do at work!!!!

If you do try foolio's first suggestion, be aware that Type 1 ID3 tags have a different format, and different location that Type 3 ID3 tags.
