Read Input from Com1 Port

I have an existing database that we are using to collect truck weights. We now have a truck scale that is capable of sending the weight electronically through the com port. Right now it is setup to send a continuous data stream on Com1. I want to display this data in a text box on a form and be able to capture the reading with a command button push. I am new to access programming and need some help with this issue. Thanks in advance for your help.
