Can somebody please give me the code for reading Ini-files with a Crystal Report function. It does not accept the FreeFile command.

I would do this inside a UFL or use the COM driver.

We have products that do both of these. The COM driver requires CR8.5 or above. The UFL will work with any version after CR5.

What do you want to do with the Text file?

Thanx for the help!! Just what I needed!
I needed the INI file to store some parameters and to extract some additional data from, like it is done with Visual Basic applications somethimes.

I've got a UFL that can search a TXT file, so it should work with an INI file.
