running HP-UX 11.11.

We are moving from one SAN disk Array to a new SAN disk Array. EMC to HP....

What we did is removed one of the fibre from the adapter going to the EMC and replaced it to one going to the HP.
Mirrored the Logical Drives....

I then removed the primary mirror (EMC) and then remirrored making HP EVA primary and EMC CX secondary.

I still see Read I/Os on the EMC monitor....

I was told by HP support that all reads would be through the Primary.

Does anyone have any knowledge on how the OS decides which path to use on a mirrored pair?

This server does not have Glance..
IOSTAT does not seperate Read from Write.

Is there a tool that will tell me the Read and Write I/Os to a disk?

do you have glance installed? glance will show reads/writes separately. Did you verify that all primary paths are going to the EVA? Swap paths with pvchange if necessary.
