I have an applet, and want to be able to read files in a directory different from the applet's one.
For example my applet is in the d:\Please\Helpme\ directory, and i need to right files in the d:\Please\ directory. How can i do that in internet explorer 5.5 and 6 ? 'cause i can do that in ie5, but i obtain security exceptions in ie5.5. For info, i give the following permission in .java.policy in my home directory : grant codebase "file://d:/Please/-" {permission java.io.FilePermission "<<ALL FILES>>", "read";
};
