P,

Its likely to be that you don't have access to e:\goldmine
Try browsing to it in Windows Explorer - can you get there? Does Flags.dbf exist? Is it read only - it shouldn't be?

Regards,

Richard.

Richard,

I have access to e:/goldmine. The problem I see is that flags.dbf doesn't even exist. I don't know why it doesn't exist and I don't know what it is used for.

Best,
P

Hello

Flags.dbf is the first dBase table Goldmine looks at. It contains one field and the value is either "i" or its blank.

Can you accesds this GM installation from any PC? If yes, go to edit | Preferences | Select Login tab and verify that
"Open Files exclusively" isn't checked.

If someone has it open, and that option is checked, you will get that flags message.

Check with your LAN guy to verify you have full read/write access to that folder too. I agree with Rich, its a rights issue.

Good luck
Dave

Richard,

Sounds like a plan. I will give that a try.

Thanks
P
