Hi

I need to list the contents of a Networker tape directly from the tape ( i.e. not what Networker thinks is on the tape )

I have tried "uasm -rnv /dev/ntape/tape0_d1" but this just sits there and does nothing.

Does anyone have any idea how I can do this ?

Cheers

Ian

dd would be the right command to read a raw stream. However, it can not remove the embedded NetWorker OTF metadata.

So you may want to try a "scanner -S ssid... device_name | uasm -rv" pipe which will do it correctly. Scanner allows you to position to a certain tape location. However, it would be good to know what you really want to achieve.

Hi - I am just trying to read the whole contents of the tape. Which I have found "scanner -n" seems to do quite nicely.

Thanks for your help.
