Howdy!
My exchange server is keeps going down. My event viewer shows a number of event ID 9175. While searching, it appears that having reached the 18GB DB size or running out of HD space are common causes to this problem.
I have plenty of HD space so the 18GB limit MUST be the problem.
Here is a quote of a posting I came across:
I have added the D-Word entry but I am confused as to setting the value. It does say to set it to 75 - This gives me a feeling of doubt since I am not sure how is this 75 being interpreted. The above talks about 75GB, how is 75 being interpreted? What should be the Base?
I guess my question should actually be:
How do I increase my exchange database size limit?
Thank you all in advance!

In my case (SBS 2003, Exchange SP2) the limit of the Exchange database was reached (18GB). Solution: Create D-Word with Name "Database Size Limit in GB" in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\<SERVER NAME>\Private-<GUID of the database>] and set the value to 75 (e.g. new size = 75GB). See the link to “Exchange Server 2003Database Size Limit Configuration and Management” for more details on this issue.
