CrystalReports Professional Product Version 10.0.0.533

I am getting this error on :

Faulting application crw32.exe, version 10.0.0.533, faulting module crw32.exe, version 10.0.0.533, fault address 0x000e85ff.

The product is loaded on the CMS server and error started when an existing report was being re-designed. The Crystal Report app will open and when attempting to open any report will immediately close and Windows Event log records the error.

The system has been in place for about 7 yrs with it being the only existing installation in production with over 10,000 critical reports being scheduled monthly.

I am a veteran BO developer/architect working since BO 3.x to current BOXI Release 2.

Any/all thoughts/recommendations will be apprectiated.

Is this a recent upgrade to BOE-XI (R2)...?
What did it start as CE-10...?
Was it an upgrade on the existing hardware...?
Are the BOE-XI (R2) servers clustered in any way...?

My guess would be a conflict in a common file that is being used betweeen Crystal Reports 10 and Business Object Enterprise XI (R2).

You may have hit an RPT function that is calling an 11.5 DLL when the version of Crystal Reports you are running uses version 10.0 DLLs.

Best solution would be to remove CR-10 from the server and install Crystal Reports XI (Release 2).

The version of Crystal should always match the version of Enterprise (including Services Packs and Hot Fixes).

Please check out my responsed in thread. i have repaired and re-installed CR10 client server(Pro Edition) on the server. The Enterprise is not affected as I am only using the Report Developer tool to publish reports to the repositiory. This issue is specific to Crystal Reports desktop tool on same machine as the enterprise. I have inherited this system.

Is this a recent upgrade to BOE-XI (R2)No, existing single instance on quad CPU?
What did it start as CE-10..current system in production. Issue arised 3 days ago when the CR10 client server product was being used on same CPU as CMS(CR10's CMS) to re-design a report.
Was it an upgrade on the existing hardware?..No upgrade perfromed yt.
Are the BOE-XI (R2) servers clustered in any way? Not applicable.
