Hi All,

I have a job that runs every morning at about 04:00 and about 30% of the time, when I arrive at work the job is still 'executing'. I then have to stop the job and re-start it, and 60% of the time it works fine. When it runs correctly it only takes 1 minuet....

Is there a way to say, If a job has been running for 1 hour, stop it and then run it again?

Thanks alot,
Derick.

I'm not aware of any way to do that (doesn't mean it can't be done). But you really should be trying to find out what is causing the problem.

One thing you might be able to try is to set up Profiler to do a trace from 03:50 to 04:10 and see what else is running at that time.
