I'm using Crystal Reports 10 and was modifying a formula in the Formula Workshop - Formula Editor. I finished making my changes and then was attempting to click on the 'Check' icon, but I must have clicked in the wrong place. Next thing I know, I've lost the 'Save' and the 'Save and Close' icons. I can't figure out how to reset the toolbar back to what it originally was. I even un-installed Crystal 10 and re-installed it. I still don't see those two icons in the Formula Editor window.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Alt-C does a check formula, and Ctrl-S does a check and save, which I use instead of the icons.

Are you saying that you've lost the entire toolbar along the Formula Editor, or just the check and the save?

I've not seen a case where part of a toolbar disappeared, perhaps you need to resize the formula editor window?

The toolbar positions and visibility are controlled by registry entries in

\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Crystal Reports\Formula Workshop\Main\Toolbar-Bar3

I'm not sure which key you would need to change to make the toolbar reappear but you could try deleting this registry key and reinstalling CR.

Thanks for the replies. I think I must have somehow undocked the 'Save and Close' and the 'Save' icon toolbar and then probably closed it. I still have the rest of the toolbar as well as the formula editor. I tried resizing the window as well as moving some other icons and toolbars around but nothing seemed to bring those two icons back. Thanks for the keyboard shortcuts which definitely are better than using those icons. I'll take a look at the registry next. Thanks again.
