Genoman, Many thanks for your advice, re the above.

However, I'm still obtaining "Compile Error: Expected: end of statement expected", and the 'm' within my sql statement(ie 'month')is now highlighted. Any further suggestions?

(As an aside, the sql adds nine months to Date1 (obtained from tbl1), and then fifteen months to Date1, then subsequently writes them both separately to tblB as Date2 and Date3, respectively).

Hi

Try Changing the "" surrounding the m to ''. Within a string you need to use these as otherwise the system thinks your ending the String.
