I'm brand new in programming the nortel system. We have a Nortel ICS 0x32 w/flash.

How do I re-route The operator (0) to a different extension. Our main greeting directs callers to press 0 for assistance, so we want to re-route it to an extension that's answered live rather than VM.

are you talkin like when she is at lunch or what ?
How long do you want to reroute the call (permenatly or just Temp)
there are a few ways to go about it .

We want to re-route it permanently. Currently "0" points to a general vm box. We want to re-route it to a live extension in customer service.

I should probably clarify better.

Currently, we do not have a real live operator. When the auto greeting is given to the caller, it directs them to press "0" for further assistance. The caller is then sent to a general voice mail box. We would like the caller sent to a live person in our customer service dept instead. So we need to re-point the "0" option in the IVR to a new extension.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You should be able to change the ext. of the operator by doing this .
F983
syscoor. MB+password
AA
Table

next till you get to the promt
Atdt.
change
change to the ext. you would like it to go to.

Sorry I am assuming this is a Startalk Flash 2 or 4 port .
