re: ringing line and fax machine ns700

Hi All.

Have quick question...

I have a user who wants to have a line on the phone (yes they have lines appearing on buttons... not my choice). One of the lines on their extension is for their fax machine. They want to be able to use the line for calls, but when the call comes in they, they don't want ringing.

I have tried changing the incoming line group, but then none of the lines ring.

Is there a way to do this?

This is my second panasonic ns700 system, so I am not fully checked out with understanding.

I would put the fax machine with hotline/pickup set on that extension.dil (if analogue) the line to that slt port

other than that just dil it to a group, you may have to have one extension in it set to no ring

By the way, nothing wrong with lines on keys if they have enough keys
