Hey,

I have windows 2000 and linux on a machine and after I removed linux I have this annoying message coming up about the lilo boot. How do I get rid of that please.

Hi,

Haven't you got this the wrong way round ? >:-<

Anyway, as a general rule it doesn't make sense to 'remove' a bootloader because on its own that would mean the PC was unbootable. You want to replace the bootloader with another bootloader. In principle, you can do '/sbin/lilo -u' and it will replace the installed lilo boot sector with the one it saved when it was first installed. If that doesn't work you'd have an unbootable disk. Still, you can't easily try it anyway as you seem to have blown away linux in favor of M$'s W2K. So, all you should need to do is run the M$ version of fdisk with the mbr (master boot record) parameter - i.e. from a 'cmd' window :

fdisk /mbr
