Guys, I am working on a Partner. I need to modify only the directory greeting, selector code 3

The VM is partner messaging R1 2 port card, 308 ES R 3.0 processor.

I log in to VM, Put in Password, hit 9, hit 3 , then I get lost Thank you!

You need to find out which mailbox Selector Code 3 goes to, and then change the Personal Greeting there.

Log into the System Administrator's mailbox, the Option 4 is Selector Code Assignment. Dial 3 for selector code 3, it will tell you what it currently transfers to. Don't change it, just hang up. Now log into the mailbox it goes to, option 3 is Personal Greeting, and 1 to record. Follow the prompts, record the new directory greeting, and be sure to approve it with *# at the end.

TouchToneTommy I thought I could just go through my previously posted instructions and press 6 to modify, but I am having trouble. How do I find out the mail box the directory greeting is in, if it is selector code 3 to activate directory? I am confused Thanks

Sorry, I read that as the PC Card mail.

So, backing up, your directory of extensions is probably a submenu, accessed by pressing 3 from the Auto Attendant.

There are 99 submenus, it could be any one of them, but if I were setting it up it would be submenu 3.

Log into mailbox 0, 9 for programming, 3 for Auto Attendant, 1 for AA No. 1, 1 for Day Menu, 2 to Play the menu, and 2 to play the Menu Definition. Listen to what Selector Code 3 does. Probably Submenu something or other.

Now back up with *# a couple of time, where it prompts you for Day or Night, option 3 is Submenus. Then you dial the submenu number, and it's 2 to listen or 6 to modify.

The submenu is just like an auto attendant, when you modify it, the first thing you get is "enter a selector code", you press *# to get past that, and 1 to record a new message. Now wait for the tone, record, 1 at the end, 23 to play back, and finally *# to approve.
